General Terms and Conditions of Sale

MonChauffeur is a platform connecting passengers with licensed professional VTC drivers, operating in accordance with French Law No. 2014-1104 of 1 October 2014 relating to taxis and VTCs. These GTC apply to all bookings made on monchauffeur.co or via our applications. The service covers the entire metropolitan French territory.

Bookings are made online via our platform. The passenger provides the pickup and drop-off locations, desired date and time, and the number of passengers. A firm and final quote is provided before validation. The booking is confirmed upon receipt of the pre-authorization payment. Any booking modification must be made at least 4 hours before the scheduled pickup time, subject to availability.

All prices displayed are fixed, all taxes included (TTC). They include the journey, motorway tolls, fuel, insurance and applicable VAT. No surcharge may be applied by the driver. MonChauffeur does not use dynamic pricing (surge pricing): the price provided at the time of booking is guaranteed. Prices are determined based on distance, estimated duration and the type of vehicle chosen.

Payment is made by bank card via our secure payment provider Stripe. A pre-authorization is made at the time of booking to guarantee the trip. The final amount is captured after the trip is completed. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified. MonChauffeur does not store any banking data on its servers. Invoices are available in the client area.

Free cancellation: any cancellation made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time is fully refunded. Late cancellation (less than 24h): cancellation fees equivalent to 50% of the trip amount apply. No-show: if the passenger does not show up without prior cancellation, the full trip amount is due. In accordance with Article L.221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to passenger transport services, as these are provided on a specific date or according to a determined schedule. The passenger expressly acknowledges that the VTC transport service constitutes a service excluded from the right of withdrawal.

MonChauffeur acts as an intermediary platform within the meaning of Article L.111-7 of the French Consumer Code. Transport is provided by independent VTC drivers holding a professional VTC card and registered in the VTC registry. Each partner driver holds their own Professional Liability Insurance (RC Pro) covering damages that may be caused to passengers during transport. MonChauffeur declines all liability in the event of delays due to circumstances beyond its control (weather conditions, exceptional traffic, strikes, etc.).

The processing of personal data collected through the use of the platform is described in our Privacy Policy, accessible at /privacy. MonChauffeur is committed to complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Data Protection Act (Loi Informatique et Libertes).

In accordance with Articles L.611-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, in the event of a dispute not resolved by MonChauffeur customer service, the consumer may use the free mediation service offered by the Consumer Mediator. These GTC are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, and after an attempt at amicable resolution, the competent French courts shall have jurisdiction in accordance with the rules of common law. For consumers residing in the European Union, the protective provisions of their national legislation shall apply where more favorable.

MonChauffeur reserves the right to amend these GTC at any time. The applicable GTC are those in force at the time of booking. Any substantial amendment will be notified to registered users by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the new GTC.
